Raj graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Management from Derby University. On leaving University, he worked elsewhere before joining RH Freight four years ago. He changed jobs because the client management aspect of the role at RH Freight appealed to him. He also recognised the potential for good earnings and future career prospects.
Dealing with clients across the world
A Freight Account Manager is responsible for initiating, quoting and arranging transport jobs for clients. Their work is carried out over the phone or in face-to-face meetings with clients. Raj is the single point of contact for a portfolio of 60 to 70 customers. For the most part he arranges European transportation but he also deals with worldwide deliveries. He has targets to meet for increasing sales and for developing new business opportunities.
