My name is Julian Frattaroli, I’m 30 years of age and am currently the National Airfreight Route Development Manager to the Middle East. I joined Kuehne + Nagel in 2004.
I started in logistics 12 years ago after completing my A Levels at college. I decided that rather than go to university, I wanted to move into an industry that could offer me a solid, long term career as well as a wide range of exciting opportunities. I started as an Airfreight Export Operator for approximately 6 years, working for logistics companies of various sizes, acquiring industry related qualifications, as well as valuable knowledge and experience along the way.
I then decided that I wanted to broaden my skill set and moved into a sales role by joining Kuehne + Nagel’s Sales Traineeship scheme. For 3 years I undertook a local Airfreight Sales Executive position for Kuehne + Nagel before moving into my current role. I now travel overseas numerous times throughout the year, in order to develop trade with the UK.
