John Raymond Transport Ltd was established in 1953 and is a family business specialising in distribution and warehousing which employs 250 people.
We staff all of our departments – the traffic office, warehouse, and maintenance facilities – 24 hours of every day except Christmas Day. This dedicated team use the latest technology including our ‘Roadrunner’ computer system to ensure that customers goods are delivered on time – every time.
It’s not only our technology that’s state-of-the-art. Our fleet has been completely replaced to run the very latest three axle trailers and environmentally-friendly Euro 5 specification vehicles. In recent years John Raymond Transport Ltd has moved from supporting traditional heavy industries like manufacturing into new areas – and we now transport a varied range of products from insulation and building materials to toilet tissue, food and more.
Perhaps the biggest recent development has been in bringing together transport and distribution services with warehousing – so that we can offer our customers tailor-made logistics solutions. The company currently operates 475,000 square feet of warehousing from two South Wales locations, and one at Cannock in Staffordshire.
