Want to work for a business that offers variety? The Freightliner Group includes a number of divisions. Freightliner Ltd is the UK’s largest haulier of maritime containers, transporting boxes that enter the UK via the ports of Felixstowe, Southampton, Tilbury, Thamesport and Seaforth to inland distribution centres. We also own and operate eight inland terminals to transfer the containers from rail to road, and operate a road fleet for final delivery to our customers’ premises.
Freightliner Heavy Haul transports bulk freight such as aggregates and construction materials, cement, waste, and oil as well as coal from mines and ports to power stations. We also have a maintenance and engineering division Freightliner Maintenance which is responsible for Freightliner’s fleet of locomotives and various wagons. We have recently expanded into Poland, where we operate bulk rail freight services in the coal and aggregates markets, and now Australia where we work with one of the world’s leading mining companies.
