Couriers, also known as despatch drivers, transport items that require urgent, safe or discreet delivery.

Large goods vehicle driver

Large goods vehicle (LGV) drivers (also known as lorry drivers) distribute millions of tonnes of goods around the UK, as well as to and from the Continent. There are around 300,000 LGV drivers in the UK.

Road transport manager

Road transport managers plan routes and schedules for fleets of lorries that carry goods. Duties can include estimating quantities and types of goods that need to be moved and managing staff.
